PassLink uses AES-256-GCM encryption, the same standard used by banks and governments. Your secret is encrypted directly in your browser before being sent to our servers. The encryption key stays in the URL fragment and never reaches our servers, ensuring true zero-knowledge security.
What happens after someone views my secret?
Once your recipient views the secret, it is immediately and permanently deleted from our servers. The link becomes invalid and cannot be used again. This 'burn after reading' approach ensures your sensitive data doesn't persist online.
Can PassLink see my passwords or secrets?
No. PassLink operates on a zero-knowledge architecture. Your secrets are encrypted in your browser before transmission, and the encryption key never leaves your browser. We physically cannot decrypt or read your data.

How long do secret links last?
You can choose how long your secret link remains valid: 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days. After this time, the secret is automatically deleted even if nobody viewed it.
